Mechanical

This team bears the heaviest workload of all teams. There is nothing "plug and play" about the mechanical design. Every mechanical sub-system on the robot must be brainstormed, designed, fabricated, assembled, and troubleshot. It must be completed in six weeks for shipment. Expect some long nights in this group, but you are going to have the most "hands-on" with the robot. This team must understand the game play per the specification and how the team wishes to play this game. The design must meet the requirements of the FIRST specifications and also those defined by the strategy team. A kit of parts is provided by FIRST to each team. Additionally, a hardware list is provided that enables each team to purchase more parts as required. |
